Drake-Compatible LG2 S-CAM Bush 1/8 BSP Tap

Direct-fit aftermarket replacement, machined from LG2 Bronze at the Enex workshop in Malaga, Perth WA. Made to original equipment spec — no rework, no spacer kits.

A bush is the sacrificial wear surface between a pin and its housing - it is designed to wear in place of the expensive parts around it. It works in the brake S-cam assembly, where wear puts slack into the brakes. As it wears it goes oval and the joint develops play. EE050 restores the original bore so the pin runs true again. Confirm fit by sending your worn part, photo or dimensions.

// What it does & how it wears

Signs your bush is worn

A worn bush shows up as play and knocking in the joint, a pin that has started to score, grease that won't hold, and movement you can feel when you lever the components. Replacing a cheap bush early protects the pin and the housing bore - leave it and you're machining or replacing far dearer parts.

Made from LG2 Bronze - a proven low-friction bearing material that runs against a steel pin and wears in preference to it, so the pin and housing last longer.

Buyers ask about EE050

What's the lead time on EE050?

Lead time varies by current production load. Send the part number and we'll come back with current availability and lead time within 24-48 hours. Australia-wide freight, tracked door-to-door.

Can I order EE050 in bulk for a fleet?

Yes. Volume pricing applies at 10+ units. Email contact@enexengineering.com.au with your fleet sheet for a tailored quote.

Is EE050 made in Australia?

Yes. Machined at the Enex workshop in Malaga, Western Australia, from materials supplied through Australian distributors.

Why replace the bush instead of the whole assembly?

The bush is meant to be the sacrificial part - it is far cheaper to renew than the housing or casting it sits in. Replacing it early is exactly how you avoid the big repair.

Can you supply the matching pin too?

Yes. We machine pins and bushes as a set so the fit is right from the first load cycle. Send both worn parts and we'll quote the pair.

How do I confirm it fits my trailer?

Photograph the worn part with a tape measure across the critical dimensions and email contact@enexengineering.com.au. We'll confirm fit before you commit.
