What we machine and reverse-engineer

Two CNC pillars (turning + milling) handle most precision work. Wire EDM finishes anything tighter than ±0.01mm. Reverse engineering, prototyping and production runs are workflows that ride on top of the core machining capabilities.

Most shops in WA quote in 5+ working days. An engineer reviews drawings and prices the same day or next. If your timeline is tight, say so — we'll quote first and qualify second.

Material traceability included

Every job carries traceability paperwork on request. EN 10204 type 3.1 mill certs free at order time on 4140, stainless and bronze. No "compliance package" upcharge.

03 · SCALE

One part to ten thousand

Single prototypes and 10,000-piece batches run on the same shop floor. Setup amortises sharply past 200 pieces — we'll quote a per-piece curve so you can see the breakeven.

What machining services does Enex offer?

Six core capabilities: CNC turning, CNC milling, Wire EDM, reverse engineering, prototyping and production runs. All delivered from a single workshop in Malaga, Perth WA — drawing in, part out, no third parties in the middle.

How fast is a quote?

24-48 hours for most jobs. Submit drawings (STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF, PDF) or photos of a worn sample, and an engineer reviews the same day or next. Tight timeline? Say so — we'll quote first and qualify second.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Single prototypes through to production runs of 5,000+ run on the same shop floor. We quote one part the same way we quote ten thousand.

What materials do you work with?

4140 PG bar, 4140 hollow bar, 316 and 304 stainless, bronze C932 and C954, brass C360, aluminium 6061 and 7075, E470 Euronorm hollow bar. Material is sourced per job from Perth distributors — typically 1-5 working days.

Do you supply finished parts including heat treat and surface coating?

Yes. Heat treat (up to 62 HRC, induction, nitride) is run through partner shops on a managed timeline. Surface finishes — zinc, hard chrome, anodise, powder coat — coordinated end-to-end. You receive the finished part, single PO.
