Precision Machining for Valve & Fluid Power

In a valve, the fit is the function. Enex machines valve bodies, hydraulic manifolds, spools, sleeves and tight-tolerance internals for valve OEMs and fluid-power rebuilders — turning and milling to ±0.01mm, and Wire EDM below ±0.005mm where the geometry demands it. Quotes back in 24-48 hours.

// 01 — What we make

Where tolerance decides performance

Fluid-power components live or die on internal geometry — a spool that sticks, a seat that won't seal, a bore that's a few microns out. Most of our valve and hydraulic work falls into one of these four buckets.

Valve bodies & seats

Turned and milled bodies with seat geometry finished to seal. 316 / duplex stainless for corrosion-prone service, 4140 for high-pressure duty.

Hydraulic manifolds & blocks

Cross-drilled manifolds and valve blocks in aluminium or steel. Intersecting bores deburred, ports threaded, pressure-faces flat to spec.

Spools & sleeves

Wire EDM and ground spools and sleeves held below ±0.005mm. The sliding fit that governs how cleanly the valve actuates.

Internals & seal lands

Pistons, glands, cartridges and seal lands turned to H7 fit. Tight-tolerance internals for cylinders, actuators and rebuild kits.

// 02 — Tolerance & finish

The fit is the function

Routine turning and milling to ±0.01mm. For spools, sleeves and seat geometry — where a few microns decide whether the valve leaks, sticks or actuates clean — we move the work onto Wire EDM and hold below ±0.005mm.

Bore and seal lands finished to H7 where the assembly calls for it. EN 10204 type 3.1 material certs on request, with grades and heat numbers traceable for the life of the part.

// 05 — FAQ

Valve & hydraulics buyers ask

What tolerances can you hold on valve internals?

Routine turning and milling to ±0.01mm. On Wire EDM we hold below ±0.005mm — for spools, sleeves and seat geometry where the fit governs how the valve performs. We finish bore and seal lands to H7 where the assembly calls for it.

Do you machine hydraulic manifolds and valve blocks?

Yes. Cross-drilled hydraulic blocks, manifolds and valve bodies in aluminium, 4140, 316 and duplex stainless. Intersecting bores deburred, ports threaded and pressure-faces finished to spec.

Can you reverse-engineer an obsolete valve component?

Yes. Send the worn spool, sleeve or body and we'll measure it, model it in CAD and machine a direct-fit replacement — including internals the original manufacturer no longer supplies. Typical lead time 5-10 working days from sample arrival.

What materials do you work for fluid-power parts?

316 and duplex stainless for corrosion duty, 4140 for high-strength internals, aluminium for manifolds, bronze for bushings and bearing surfaces. Material grades and heat numbers traceable, with EN 10204 3.1 certs on request.
